Robinia as a sustainable wood species
Robinia wood has a very long lifespan. Due to the natural presence of tannic acids, this type of wood does not require any chemical treatment to increase its durability. The wood species falls under durability class I/II. This means that the heartwood remains good for about 20-25 years.
