Robinia poles diameters

The most common sizes of Robinia peeled posts are:

8/10 cm

We stock these diameters in both different lengths and thicknesses. If your desired thickness is not listed, please take contact with us. We can also offer consumer-specific products.

For sizing purposes, the diameter is measured at the thick end of the pole. We call this the head of the post. The thin end of the pole is called the point and this is always pointed on standard robinia peeled poles smaller than 3m. Poles of 4m and longer are standard unpointed. When sorting posts by head size, a dimensional deviation of +/- 1 cm is allowed.

Robinia wood is the most durable wood species growing in Europe. Robinia falls in durability class l/ll, which means that the posts can last around 20 years, depending on the conditions. The wood we purchase therefore comes from sustainably managed forest plots. We can therefore supply all our poles with both the FSC and PEFC hallmarks.
